Mapping Your Soul’s Purpose by Ann Windsor, Published by Llewellyn

One of the Astrology Made Easy series, this book includes a cut down version of the Kepler software, enough to draw up a chart and print out the report. It’s a great way to learn karmic astrology, even if you are already a proficient astrologer. Apart from the usual look at planets through the signs and houses, there are useful chapters on prenatal eclipses something that is not covered by a lot of other astrological text and did appear to bring some useful insights at least to my chart it did. If you have the slightest interest in Karmic astrology this is well worth looking at, particularly if starting out on the road to learning more about why you might be here.

A teaspoon and an Open Mind, by Michael White, published by Penguin.

With the success of the re-launched Doctor Who, Michael White has decided to look at the science of some of the theories behind the show from a scientific and sometimes sceptical point of view. Michael certainly is convinced of other civilisations out their in space but as to them visiting earth he is a non-believer and certainly does not hold much truck with believers in Atlantis. Then again with the ability to alter genes, maybe one day there will be monsters and daleks, though solving the housing shortage by having homes bigger on the inside then the outside although more useful is more then impossible.

The Devil’s Party by Colin Wilson Published by Virgin

Colin Wilson who writes extensively on religion, occult and true crime gets his chance to combine that knowledge by looking at modern day messiahs that have turned seemingly sensible people into fanatical followers, committing murder, and suicide in the leaders and biblical name. Colin Wilson takes us on a history lesson of Jim Jones and David Koresh and tries to understand what makes them manage to take control of other lives and actually how they come to believe in themselves as saviours.   Colin Wilson is always thought provoking.
