The Templarís Code by C M Palov

ISBN 9780241951965 published by Penguin

A typical Conspiracy Thriller which is what the genre now seems to be called. This one concentrates on the missing Emerald Tablet a tablet that is meant to (at least in this novel) give the secret from creation.

This book has the Templars as the long lost keeper of the secrets of the tablet and follows them between various trips in America and London.  However the plot seemed to be all over the place, weak. The main character Caedmon is meant to be ex-MI5 but does not think to make sure he is not been electronically tracked. The characters are a bit one dimensional. I have read better and read worse
